LIFE CYCLE

While the range of the Porcupine Caribou Herd covers a huge area, the survival and growth of the Herd depends on movement between and within winter, spring (calving) and summer ranges. Shifts within the seasonal ranges (particularly during calving) are reflected in the condition of individual animals, which in turn affects the productivity of the Herd.
