Interim Conservation Measures

In March, the Government of Yukon began public consultation on its proposed interim conservation measures. These interim measures were implemented by the Government in late September. The Board does not support the proposed interim measures. Conservation of the herd and long-term productivity can be addressed through the recently recommended Harvest Management Plan – a plan that has been developed in cooperation with the user communities and Aboriginal organizations and governments.
