This example shows the general drying trend in a series of lakes: shallow water has been replaced by emergent vegetation and wet barrens, wet barrens have been replaced by wet graminoid communities. The two Satellite Images on the left were obtained on June 30, 1990 (equalization enhancement of TM band 4,5,3 composite), and on July 27, 1994. The aerial photograph was taken in late July 1994.
